I was pretty much blown away recently on a visit to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park – and not just by the bracing West Yorkshire wind. As a resident of nearby Wakefield, and father of two young girls, I often find myself making the short drive to YSP when I’m faced with yet another viewing of Finding Nemo. I’m never disappointed and the kids love it – plenty of space for them to roam around and explore artwork in a unique environment – and my conscience is the better for it!

The latest exhibition by Jaume Plensa is amazing, and it turns out I wasn’t the only one to appreciate it – Dizzee Rascal is another recent visitor singing its praises.

Supporting Freedom Studios and their upcoming production The Mill – City of Dreams, I went along to a reunion of Bradford Mill workers at the Ukranian Club in Bradford, recording the event through drawings which in turn became part of this outstanding show’s programme.

We are delighted to be have just been appointed brand and digital partners to Leeds Canvas. Leeds Canvas brings together Opera North, Northern Ballet, Yorkshire Dance, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds Art Gallery, Leeds Council, The Phoenix Dance Theatre and Leeds Met Gallery and Studio to commission a major work of art every four years. The first being Yorkshire’s flagship arts project for the Cultural 2012 Olympiad. Titled OverWorld’s & UnderWorld’s this first project will be led by the artists the Quay Brothers, a lot of surprises in store for Leeds… We can not wait to get started!
